Dr. Donald Kennedy, President emeritus at Stanford University, former editor-in-chief of Science, and FDA Commissioner under President Carter, will chair the Scientific Advisory Board at CollabRx.
Donald Kennedy is President Emeritus and Bing Professor of Environmental Science and Policy, Emeritus at Stanford University. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Freeman-Spogli Institute for International Studies and the Wood Institute for the Environment, and is a member of the Food Security and Environment Program in both Institutes. Dr. Kennedy was editor-in-chief of Science (2000-2008) and also served as Commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration during the Carter administration.
Dr. Kennedy is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the American Philosophical Society. He served on the National Commission for Public Service and the Carnegie Commission on Science, Technology and Government, and is a founding director of the Health Effects Institute. He currently serves as a director of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and as co-chair of the National Academies’ Project on Science, Technology and Law. Dr. Kennedy received A.B. and Ph.D. degrees in biology from Harvard University.
