Drugs in the News for Colorectal Treatment
The treatment of advanced colorectal cancer has greatly benefited by approval of targeted therapies in the past few years. Avastin and Erbitux are targeted therapies that are a part of the standard of care for colorectal cancer patients. Newer targeted therapies, such as Regorafenib, are in clinical trials for colorectal cancer and promise to benefit even more colorectal cancer patients. These advances are also driving personalization of treatments for colorectal cancer patients based on their tumors’ molecular fingerprint.
