About CollabRx and Targeted Therapy Finders
CollabRx’s mission is to save lives by helping patients and physicians find information that helps them to personalize their cancer treatment. Our lead product is a set of web-based Targeted Therapy Finders, created with guidance from leading cancer experts.
Each Targeted Therapy Finder helps cancer patients and their physicians identify novel treatments (i.e., drugs and clinical trials) that target the molecular processes driving their specific tumors. Users are guided through a three step process:
- 1. Identify the relevant genetic tests to run on a tumor or biopsy specimen
- 2. Based on test results and other information, identify the tumor’s molecular subtype
- 3. Find the best available treatments for that specific subtype.
The treatment information found by the Targeted Therapy Finders are based on Molecular Disease Models (MDMs) that are specific to each type of cancer. Each MDM summarizes the pathways associated with each subtype of cancer, hyperlinked to up-to-date information about trials, tests, and treatments. It also includes scientific references. The MDMs are usually published as peer-reviewed papers, and are constantly updated based on the latest clinical research.
